Blur 21: The Box is the ultimate and definitive anthology of Blur’s incredible career. Spanning 21-discs and including over 5 ½ hours of previously unreleased material, Blur 21: The Box collects together the remastered and expanded editions of all the albums, four discs of Blur rarities, three DVDs of live performances and rarities, a collectable 7’’ single and a hard-bound book - all housed in a super-deluxe material-covered box. Each box will also include a code to download all the audio contents as high-quality mp3s. Contents include:

Remastered and expanded studio albums:

Blur’s first five studio albums have now been remastered and expanded from the original tapes by Frank Arkwright (The Smiths, Arcade Fire, New Order, Joy Division), with the remastering overseen by legendary producer, Stephen Street. All seven albums come with an accompanying disc of bonus material, in all covering a wealth of b-sides, little-heard gems, alternative mixes, live tracks, demos, rare tracks, acoustic versions, Fan Club singles and previously unreleased radio sessions.

4 CDs of Blur rarities:

Gathering together a massive 65 previously unreleased tracks (in all over 3 ½ hours of previously unreleased material) the four rarities CDs exclusive to The Blur Box are a treasure-trove of tracks selected from the Blur vault and band member’s own archives. The rarities discs start with Seymour (Blur’s previous band name) demos and rehearsals showing the track writing process of early Blur songs, as well as the earliest known recordings of many other Blur classics. Continuing chronologically into the Modern Life Is Rubbish era, CD two of the rarities includes demos of tracks that never went on to be fully recorded and have remained unheard to this day (Beached Whale and Pap Pop) and the aborted Andy Partridge (XTC) session, recorded for Modern Life Is Rubbish before the band returned to the producer of their debut record, Stephen Street. CD three of the rarities covers the Parklife and The Great Escape era, bringing together more demo versions, a snap-shot of a band enjoying themselves in the studio with the two takes of Rednecks, the Alex James penned Alex’s Song now returned to its intended speed, the never fully recorded or released Cross Channel and the vocal version of previously instrumental Eine Kleine Lift Musik, entitled here as Hope You Find Your Suburb. The fourth and final CD of Blur rarities covers the remainder of the band’s career, presenting for the first time a jam from Mayfair Studios of the track Battle, a Bill Laswell session at Sarm Studios (which gives the first indication of the direction Damon would later take with Gorillaz), the infamously named Sir Elton John’s Cock, other never-developed session recordings and a collection of later non-album released Blur tracks.

The 3 DVD set (exclusive to the Blur Box) collects together Showtime, the classic Parklife era live show (complete with frilly lampshades on stage) from Alexandra Palace on 7th October 1994, the previously unreleased 1 ½ hour long Singles Night show from Wembley on 11th December 1999 and an entire DVD of Blur video rarities, which include a band-made video for the Seymour track Dizzy, Blur’s first ever TV performance on BBC Eggs & Baker, a recording of Blur and Francoise Hardy performing To The End in Abbey Road’s Studio 2 (previously unreleased outside of France) and the Japanese promo for It Could Be You.

Collectable 7’’ Single:

A 7" single of the previously unreleased Seymour track Superman (recorded in December 1989 at The Square in Harlow, Essex), housed in an Food Records replica bag.

Hard-bound Blur book:

High-quality hard-back book charting the history of Blur with extensive liner notes based on a brand new interview with the band and previously unseen photos from throughout the band’s career.

Hier glänzt besonders Peter van Eyck als überwältigter Wissenschaftler in einer großartigen Rolle. Auch die weiteren Parts dieser Artur-Brauner-Produktion sind mit Schauspielgrößen wie Siegfried Lowitz, Dieter Borsche, Hans Nielsen und Ellen Schwiers sowie den britischen Stars Bernard Lee (M in den James-Bond-Filmen) und Cecil Parker (Sir John in dem Edgar-Wallace-Krimi Das Rätsel des silbernen Dreiecks ) exzellent besetzt. Ein Science-Fiction-Krimi, bei Gruselregisseur Freddie Francis (Edgar Wallace: Das Verrätertor , Draculas Rückkehr , Die Todeskarten des Dr. Schreck ,
Frankensteins Ungeheuer , Simon Templar ) zeigt, was er kann und auch seine Erfahrungen als Kameramann immer wieder durchklingen lässt. Zwischenblenden der Augen des Toten und die Verwandlung des Wissenschaftlers in den toten Max Holt wirken ausgesprochen gruselig.
Insgesamt sehr gut gemacht und mit anderen billigen Filmen ähnlicher Thematik nicht zu vergleichen. Pidax film präsentiert diese im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes unheimliche Perle des deutsch-englischen Kriminalfilms mit einer überwältigenden Besetzung nun frisch abgetastet und toprestauriert auf DVD.

Für 699.-- Euro wär dieser 46" nämlich nicht wirklich teuer. Was haltet Ihr denn von dem Gerät? Alternativvorschläge gern gesehen. Vor der ifa werden bestimmt noch andere die Preise senken, evtl. hat da ja wer was Gutes entdeckt. Achja, 3D brauch ich nicht, aber wenns drin ist dann ists halt drin

Mir machen ein paar Sachen Sorgen bei dem Panasonic:

a) Abspielen von Videos direkt vom USB-Stick. Geht das bei dem nun oder nicht, ganz werd ich nicht schlau daraus. Ich kopier mal den Test-Link hier rein http://audiovision.de/News/2011/04/S...rch_highlight1 (im unteren Drilling der mittlere ist es)

b) keine Aufnahme direkt auf USB-Festplatten, aber das kann man ja durch einen externen HD-SAT - Receiver lösen

Ich habe da eine Frage bzgl. der #1 aus der CMV Boris Karloff Collection.
Und zwar habe ich Alien Terror neulich neu&originalverpackt gekauft in der FSK 18 Auflage.
Nun habe ich mir den Film gestern angesehen und habe festgestellt das die Hartbox selbst das 18er Logo hat, aber die Disk selber ist FSK 16.
Ist es da eventuell irgendwann mal zu einem Fehler seitens CMV beim Einpacken gekommen?
Hab schon drüber nachgedacht, ob der Händler bei XJuggler die DVD eventuell neu in Folie eingeschweisst hat, was aber eigentlich für mich keinerlei Sinn ergibt eine 18er in eine 16er Box zu packen und umgekehrt.
Hoffe mir kann meine Frage bzgl. dessen beantworten.

Ich habe deswegen schon am heutigen Freitag mal bei meiner nächstgelegenen Filiale nachgefragt, ob man dort eines dieser Räder für mich reservieren könne. EIn Mitarbeiter sagte mir dann jedoch, daß die Filiale insgesamt nur fünf (!) dieser Räder bekommen habe (wobei sogar noch fraglich ist, ob diese Anzahl für die Herren- und Damenräder insgesamt gilt) und man am Montag keine Räder mehr zum Verkauf anbieten könne, wenn man Reservierungen entgegen nähme.
Nun kann ich am Montag nach der Arbeit frühestens um 19 Uhr in der Filiale sein ... wobei es ja sogar fraglich wäre, ob bei der Ladenöffnung um 8 Uhr morgens nicht schon mehr Interessenten als vorhandene Räder aufschlagen werden und ich mich dann wohlmöglich mit denen prügeln müßte. :p

Es gibt ja bereits ein Urteil des Bundesgerichtshofes, daß "Verbraucher darauf vertrauen können, daß besonders günstige Sonderangebote in einem Geschäft auch in ausreichender Anzahl und für eine gewisse Zeit vorhanden sind." (Quelle)

Inwiefern leitet sich daraus ein "Recht" ab, daß man als Verbraucher die gewünschte Ware bekommt?
Wäre Aldi quasi "verpflichtet", ein Rad für mich nachzubestellen?
Oder hat schon mal jemand die Erfahrung gemacht, daß Aldi zumindest aus Kulanz Ware, die nicht in ausreichender Menge vorhanden ist, für nachfragende Kunden nachbestellt?

Aldi Süd selbst bittet auf seiner Internetseite übrigens lediglich "ausdrücklich um Verständnis", "sollte ein beworbener Aktionsartikel in kurzer Zeit - möglicherweise schon am ersten Verkaufstag - nicht mehr vorrätig sein". La-La Land Records, Sony Music and Paramount Pictures boldly go where no soundtrack reissue has gone before with this deluxe 3-CD set of 1979‘s Star Trek: The Motion Picture, composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith.

The first big screen voyage of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock was a high budget and ambitious undertaking that introduced Goldsmith’s famous and enduring Star Trek march (later used as the main theme for Star Trek: The Next Generation) as the cornerstone of an epic science fiction musical odyssey. Like the film’s refit starship Enterprise, La-La Land’s lavish presentation presents the score anew: fully restored, remixed and mastered from the first generation multi-track masters by Bruce Botnick, the original album co-producer and Goldsmith’s long time scoring engineer.

“To put together the complete score the decision was to go back to the original Analogue 16-track 2-inch 30 i.p.s. masters,” Botnick explains. “John Davis at Precision Audiosonics baked each of the 37 rolls in a convection oven at 110º for eight hours so that they were playable, then rolled out a marvelous 3M 56 IsoLoop 16-track machine with brand new heads. The tapes were resolved at 60Hz to maintain the original orchestral pitch and sync. The Analogue-to-Digital transfer was done from the 16-track through the latest Black Lion A/D convertors and recorded to Pro Tools X at 192kHz 24-bit.”

This 3-CD set presents the score for the 1979 theatrical release (filling disc 1 and part of disc 2) and also premieres the legendary early “rejected” cues that Goldsmith recorded prior to composing his famous main theme. The 1979 album program (much of which is performed and edited differently as compared to the film) completes disc 2, with disc 3 offering additional alternates (including those heard on the previous Sony expanded release) along with a wealth of bonus material. Among the highlights are a collection of early takes of the “Main Title” (including extensive stage chatter), isolated segments featuring Craig Huxley’s famous “blaster beam” and assorted synthesizer excerpts, the domestic CD debut of Bob James’ disco cover version of Goldsmith’s theme and Shaun Cassidy’s vocal version of the love theme, “A Star Beyond Time.”

Reissue co-producer Mike Matessino (who handled restoration and editorial efforts) collaborates with Jeff Bond on the thoroughly researched album notes which feature interview excerpts by Goldsmith, Botnick and performers Huxley and David Newman. The clamshell packaging and 40-page full color booklet are designed by Jim Titus.

“It has been an honor to be able to work with the original recordings of this music and to document its production,” Matessino says. “This is one of the greatest scores of all time and everyone involved took the responsibility very seriously and happily devoted months to see it come together. The clarity and quality we now have is truly amazing. Thanks to the efforts of La-La Land Records, Sony Music and Paramount Pictures, the end product is an embarrassment of riches and a ‘must-have’ for every film music and Star Trek collection.”
